FUNDRAISING FOR YOUR REUNION

1. Let local businesses sponsor your tables. In exchange for a contribution (maybe $50 per table), put a placard in the center of the table which displayed the company name and info about the company.You could get a bit fancy and include their company logo. In addition, you can list the table sponsors in your reunion program, thank them when you do your announcements, prominently display a poster near the check-in table with all sponsor names, and put their names and hyperlinks on your web site.

2. Trash The Yard - Get a few people to dress up in ragged clothes. Find an old pickup truck and fill the back with yard junk. Some pink flamingoes, a toilet, car parts (preferably rusty but don't cut yourself!), whatever you might find in a cluttered messy lawn. Get some tacky lawn chairs and head out to the homes of your friends and neighbors when you know they are home. Then you pile all the stuff on the front lawn, sit yourself down and wave at passing cars and neighbors to draw attention. An added touch is an old guitar that you strum as everyone sings old country songs--loudly. In order for you to go away, the home owner has to make a donation to your cause. They definitely will!

3. Auction A Dinner - Ask for volunteers to make a single dinner. Supply the take out containers to package them into. (Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes, a vegetable and roll) Pick a night to hold the auction. Everyone brings their dinners on that particular night. Arrange all dinners on a table so the people can see what they are bidding on. The "auctioneer" then starts the bidding. Most dinners start at $5.00 ea. You would be amazed at how much a particular dinner could go for!

4. Jar of Coins - Give a mason jar to each participant and have them drop loose coins in for several months prior to event and turn the jar in before so money can be counted.

5. Take pictures - Everybody loves to see themselves in a picture. Have everybody pose, all ham it up for a group photo, etc. and email them in for the project website. Then have other members give a dollar to their favorite picture. Have categories so people will be voting on more than just one, i.e., the best, the goofiest, the worst dressed, etc.
